Dad is in his room and still in a lot of pain. He said he feels like a train hit him. He sleeps a lot and we think it is because of his pain meds. The infection doctor came in and said there is still a little bacteria from the infection from before growing on the cultures. But he sounded positive because it is very little. He is going to keep dad on antibiotics for 6 weeks to make sure everything is cleared out. He also said he would be fine if they closed the wound Thursday or if they waited till next week. He said it is up to ortho to decide depending on how they think the wound looks. So I have a feeling that they will still try to close it on Thursday. Dad received a pretty plant from Montgomery Gentry and the whole music family that Jeff works with. We were able to hang out with some of Jeff's work people this weekend at the lake in Nashville and they were so kind and worried about dad. Troy and Angie heard about the amputation and felt awful for dad and sent their prayers to our parents. Jeff is very lucky to work with such amazing people and friends. Dad is in good spirits just very tired and in more pain than he has been through this whole process.
Grandma went home Thursday last week and has a nurse with her from 7:30am-7:30 pm I believe. She is slow mentally and physically so they are trying to get her back to where she can try to function better. Thank you for all the support!!!
